"The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean. The yogurt and fruit parfait at breakfast was nice as well as the home baked cookies at night. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a gorgeous walk along Monterey Bay is only two blocks away. The building however is on the historic register and over 130 years old. The floors creek and the walls are thin. The other breakfast items (bagels, small muffins and pastries, coffee, etc) are meh. But the price was right."

"Location is great! Easy to get to Monterey, 17 Mile Drive, and Carmel. Love that this hotel has big rooms for the family. Nice that there isn’t a resort fee or parking fees. The pullout couch/bed looked a bit dusty- we were able to cover it with bedsheets- and it was a great extra bed for the kids."

"This place is amazing, and our only regret was we weren't able to stay longer! It is right on the beach, with amazing views. The hotel really allows you to take advantage of the location, whether it's watching the sun set, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean, or enjoying the comfortable chairs and fire pits right on the beach. The restaurant was great. We enjoyed wonderful service. The entire experience was a perfect start to what was our honeymoon. We'll be back!"

"We really liked the area. Very close to cannery row and ocean. Clean and quiet. The room was a nice size. Bathroom a little small but had nice hot water, and great pressure.
