Chinle has limited restaurants and activities, exept for the amazing Canyon de Chelly, which is why people go. Remember this is Dine' (Navajo) land and there are no alcohol sales in restaurants (not sure if anywhere on the reservation).

It's a small Navajo community situated at the mouth of Canyon de Chelly. It is a beautiful canyon and the Navajo people are friendly.

People were very friendly and helpful. Also, the tour through Canyon de Chelly was spectacular. Our guide was very knowledgeable.

I would stay at the lodge again, but I would bring my own k-cups of coffee and plan to explore the area. We were just passing through Chinle but the area is so beautiful I would love to go back and do day hikes.
