"My friend and I arrived at Bambuda Castle after flying from Panama City and it was even more charming than pictured. The valley was doing electricity checks, so our room did not have electricity immediately. But we had no problem sitting on the porch reading and just taking in the views. The staff was very helpful and promised to move us to another room if power was not restored by the time we got back from our coffee tour, which it was and in plenty of time. The main building had a generator.
Our room was very clean and we never felt like we were in a rowdy hostel. The mattresses did sag in the middle bit and it did help that we were not in the bunk area of the main building.
We did do a free rum tasting our last night, we also had dinner, brunch and breakfast. So I can safely say that they have very good food.
I wish we had spent more time in Boquete, I would absolutely come back to Bambuda Castle and next time stay in one of the hobbit hole rooms; I told a lot of people about those. The shuttle into town is very easy to use, make sure you use WhatsApp and take advantage of their activities even in the rainy off-season. There were still things to do, and a few people around."
