"Property is located in the old town of Ortigia, just a block from the sea, and very walkable through the maze of narrow streets and alleys. It was fun to discover shops and restaurants. The building is very historic—part of the old Jewish section of the town, with ancient baths underground. Our hosts were very friendly and fully bi-lingual. The room was a bit dated, but very tastefully decorated. There is a very elegant courtyard for common use just below our 2nd story walk up. The continental breakfast was good, not exceptional. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"We stayed here for two nights and were extremely disappointed, especially considering this is supposed to be a five star property. Our first night we were put in a room where the bathroom had a horrid smell that spread to the entire room. The room was also on the same floor as all the cleaning staff which was very odd. They offered us nothing in return for this very disappointing night. Do not recommend staying here."

"Breakfast is superb with large choice. There is an excellent spa but this is an extra which seems petty given the room prices aren’t cheap. The infinity pool is excellent with great views of the harbour. The bar/restaurant offers panoramic views although the drinks are very pricey - €18 for a negroni. Staff are extremely friendly and this is a top class hotel in a great location."

"Wish we had known that there were many steps to climb to get to the room. It was hard dragging the bags up two massive flights. Also know the desk is not manned very much. You are pretty much on your own and they don't speak english. We managed with using google translate. Everyone was nice and the room was very clean. They also provided quite a few little touches such as slippers and shampoo and lots of bathroom amenities. Overall I liked the place. Be sure to arrange your car in advance...they only provide the phone number and you must do the rest. Very grateful we arranged for the valet. She was a godsend and even drove us out to the bridge."
