"So to be fair your staying in a 500 year old building, the room is small but very cool. The property is beautiful, the history is wonderful, the staff was friendly and helpful. The only improvements I think could be made is a refrigerator in the room and more than a commercial hand soap dispenser in the bathroom, provide at least some basic soap and shampoo. Overall we had a great time here and will most likely come back."

"We had an amazing stay at Hotel El Conde de Peñalba! The location in the heart of the Zona Colonial was perfect, and we felt safe walking around and exploring. The staff provided excellent service, and both check-in and check-out were super fast and easy.
Our room was kept clean throughout our five-day stay. We were in town for a wedding and often left personal belongings out while getting ready and heading to events. Nothing ever went missing, which gave us extra peace of mind.

"The ladies at the front desk were friendly. Especially Melissa, who was so kind to help me carry my luggage downstairs at 6 AM. She did it with a big smile and waited with me until the taxi came. Much appreciated!
I would like to have known that the hotel occupies the 3rd and 4th floor of a building with no elevator, so it's not for people who have trouble walking.
The hotel is on a pedestrian street so your taxi can't stop in front of the door, but the closest corner is only a few meters...

"The mattress just had a top sheet over it not a fitted sheet so when you slept the sheet would slide and showed how stain and dirty the mattress was. There was no hot water, the mini fridge was warm, maintenance never came. The rooms air conditioner didn’t cool so it stayed at about 78 degrees. Every day there was power outages. The tv didn’t have signal for channels."
