It's getting better and a lot of buildings/businesses getting upgrades and modernized. A lot of mid to upper class shopping and dining options around the hotel area, alongside with traditional stablishments. As always, food is delicious.

Its not as bad as people say. We didnt see any big crime happen, we walked everyday around and nothing major. The cross walks were a bit unsafe but we are fine. Defintly take the hotel tour since you see parts of the city.
