"Charming place, was able to provide a travel cot for the baby. Lovely staff and breakfast! We were by on Easter weekend, so it was understandably busy with lots of kids running around the courtyard. Our bed time is very early, so it's not like the noise was unreasonable at first... However after a long journey, jet lag, and teething our baby was waking constantly, extremely cranky and then around 9pm (I think) a kid knocked on our door and ran away while we were getting the baby back down!!! "Mixed reviews overall, my room was generally pretty clean however, I found a hair in the bathroom that definitely wasn't mine as it was about 6 inches long onnthe tiles of the shower, the window didnt stay open without wedging something underneath it, decor was tired and the TV was no bigger than a PC monitor and looked lost on the wall and wasnt vaguely visible from the bed and everytime the fridge in the room clicked on and off it turned the TV off and on again (annoying to say the least). "Had a nice night at the George. Staff in the pub and restaurant were great. The room was large and comfortable. Bed was huge. Managed to park opposite on the public pay& display but parking could be an issue "

"Had a lovely overnight stay. Staff were really friendly and exceptionally helpful. A really beautiful old building. Buffet breakfast was good. Had a very pleasant evening meal there too. Grounds were delightful. Stayed in one of their suites. Really spacious. "
