"The breakfast was excellent. Everything was kept clean and fresh. The staff was very friendly. As usual in hotels the AC switched on and off making it noisy. The bedclothes did not allow for maintaining a comfortable sleeping temperature. There was a nightstand on only one side of the bed, which was inconvenient. Otherwise, the room was quiet."

"The property/building is beautiful but away from downtown Athens. We had been to the restaurant previously and were looking forward to a wonderful stay. "The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. "The staff at the reception were courteous and helpful. I used the stationary bicycle in the gym. Didn't have time to use the indoor pool but it looked clean. I didn't like the smell of the room. It took a bit of work to program TV so I could watch. Convenient location. Reasonable price."

"Staff did not clean room or provide towels the second day of a 3 day stay. Lower area not to my standards for a Best Western but I don't know anything about tower rooms.
