"Clemence (the owner) was right there and checked me in the second floor with all amenities and views I just needed for now. Very friendly staff and quiet surrounding, restaurants and shopping is nearby, also bus terminal less than 10 mins on foot. "

"The food at the resort restaurant (The Paddle House) was good, but overpriced in my opinion. That said, everything else about the resort was excellent - staff were first-rate, my particular room (Sandia) was incredible, the resort spaces (including the beach itself) were impeccable, the snorkelling trip the resort organized was great, and I even saw a manatee one morning out on the ocean on my own while using one of the complementary kayaks the resort had available. I would absolutely stay here...

"Mariposa is the best kept secret in Placencia - my experience was excellent, end to end. It’s a beautiful beach front property with amazingly friendly staff (and central A/C!) that made our stay extremely enjoyable and memorable. We found it to be a great choice over some of the nicer, comparable options like Turtle Inn, since Mariposa has more of a boutique vibe, and we felt offered a better value overall.
