"The apartment was great, close to shops, and food. However when l went out for coffee early in the morning the neighbourhood was very dirty and seemed a little sketchy."
"Fabulous building which has a lot of history attached to it.
Louise and Sean were excellent hosts and our apartment accommodation had everything we needed."
"Location was great as it’s only a short walk to the seafront. Apartment is located by a crossroads therefore could be loud when busy as well as people walking past the windows but knew that when we booked it would be
Apartment was spacious so fine for us, a family of 5. Had issue with WiFi but they were helpful. We stayed in flat 4 which was ground floor so ideal carrying stuff to and from
My only criticism is no washing machine, leaving us with wet clothes from the beach and every time you...
"I had no wifi as there isnt in Foxes Den at first i was disconcerted then enjoyed reading and sitting outside instead of infront of the TV. It was just what I needed"
"Great view from balcony, everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Really good as a base as the main harbour is a short walk away and the Breakwater cafe is even nearer. If you are looking for chic designer decorated rooms forget it, if you want a comfy sensible base with a very helpful owner then this is the place. Yes you can see the building is older in places but overall it represents excellent value for money and a great place to stay."
"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav.
The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door.
The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained.
The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...
"Middle of March and still fairly cold .Main heating doesn’t stay long enough to heat up the apartment.I had to use the electric heating which run on a meter .I ended up paying £15 on the electricity meter for heating ,lights and cooker for 3 nights stay .The downside for me was paying to keep the electricity going .Just be aware when booking ,they have the old electricity meter where you have to pay extra to keep the electricity going for the duration in your stay "

"The location of the hotel is great, we were visiting family in Torbay which is less than a ten minute drive from here. There are plenty of bars cafes and shops a short walk along from the hotel. if you dont want to pay for the hotel parking there is a public car park at the top of beach road that is a little cheaper.
The hotel is well decorated and the reception and public areas were nice and clean during our stay.
Our room was spacious and clean, it had tea and coffee as well as a mini fridge.
The bed was comfortable, as were the two chairs in the room.
Staff were attentive, polite and helpful.
We'll certainly use this hotel again on our next visit to Torquay.

"I had not realised in advance that it was a net carbon neutral hotel. I was absolutely amazed by all the design and actions that were at work to make this hotel eco-friendly. Brilliant - if this hotel can do it, so can most others!
Elegant Skandi look to all the architecture, inside and out, all practical and with a purpose, but attractive also.
Bed comfortable, bathroom great (shower excellent) and I was able to have fresh air through a filter panel in the window also.
Room was reasonably priced.
Dinner was good and priced OK.
Continental breakfast was very nice; the cooked breakfast not so successful, and I think at £20 was overpriced.
Otherwise all wonderful and a lovely surprise!"
"Breakfast was excellent. Bar meal was good but not great selection. Main Restaurant was too expensive. The room was great, very comfortable. the Seaview was obscured bey vegetation, but after some discussion, the gardener cut the offending vegetation back which mad the view perfect."
"Great hotel full of character. Excellent location .lovely staff , plenty of parking and the food is great to. Excellent central location to explore South Devon"
"I liked how easy the hotel was to get to. The staff were lovely. The room was sooo nice and great value for money with a really comfy bed and lovely large windows. Had a great stay here. "
