"What a delight it was staying at Franck and Virginie's. They were so happy to introduce us to all their young horses - and their youngest two week old foal. The property is situated in the middle of farmland (plenty of wheat and never-ending cognac vineyards) and was so peaceful - we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening with a bottle of rose and a basic evening meal we put together ourselves. "A great last minute find, as we wanted to get to Mortagne sur Gironde. A beautiful restoration of a large house by the hard work of the hosts, Suzanne and her husband! Unfortunately, we could only stay for just the ONE night ..... but we could see that it would a be lovely place to relax and unwind over several days, especially with this property having a lovely large swimming pool (which gets cleaned by a robot hose with small underwater tractor unit - amazing!"
