"The whole lobby area smelled like perfume. I think that is a thing with higher end hotels.
Check-in staff very friendly.
Clean room, nice amenities. Refrigerator in room.
Pool top roof deck is tiny. No bar up there.
Valet parking is expensive, but it was nice to call ahead and have my car ready.
Good value for money paid."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel this weekend! From the moment I arrived on Friday, I felt truly welcomed. The two young ladies at the front desk who checked me in were incredibly kind, professional, and friendly. I unfortunately didn’t get their names, but they made such a great first impression and provided outstanding customer service.

"The cabins are wonderful and you immerse yourself in the Old Florida setting. I spent only 1 night but I would like to return for a whole week as a retreat to read and write. "We booked this hotel for a concert in Gainesville. When we arrived, there was five couples standing outside waiting to register. All of us needed to get to the concert in order to find parking before got too late. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for one couple to be processed. The gentleman who worked there was very nice, but was working with extremely limited resources. I think he did the best he could, but the rooms were substandard, dirty, and we didn’t get our room till 1:30 in the morning....

"Good overall, except parking which was quite a challenge given the hotel does not have a parkinflg facility and only one spot for unloading and loading luggage. We ended up having to park 3 blocks away given it was a weekend holiday. Breakfast was Ok, nothing exceptional. Location, on the other hand, could not be better."

"Spacious room. The sink had issues. It filled with dirt on two separate occasions for no explainable reason. I was moved to a different room where the A/C unit was incredibly noisy. But I still slept OK.
The bar and lounge area is a lot of fun. Very nice bartenders.
The pool is dated and needs a renovation. The concrete inside the pool is full of holes.
The whole hotel looks like it could use a coat of paint and maybe some simple upgrades.
Good value for the price paid and great location to...
