"We were unfortunately only there for one night but the property and the staff were delightful and even brought us boxed breakfasts at 3 AM before an early flight out. The property is remarkable with several pools, trails, and views. Worth the price of admission for that alone, but the staff knows what they are doing."

"Great, albeit short, stay. Owner picked me up from airport close to midnight and I had a great nights sleep. The breakfast buffet was yummy and filling and the hot water shower felt great. I’d recommend for anyone looking to stay close to SJO airport "

"Rooms are old and bathrooms doesn’t flush properly. There are no other attractions around and have to go to la fortuna for any activity which is an hour drive. The resort is good with thermal spas and pools ."

"Wonderful trip- from as soon as we were picked up by a very helpful driver to our drop-off. The property is incredible - beautiful views of the volcano and cloud forest canopy, stunning trails along waterfalls and river paths, beautiful hummingbirds everywhere and fascinating encounters with frogs (the night tour was fantastic thanks Pablo) and toucans and big cats etc. Rooms are spacious and beautiful with stunning views. The staff are second-to-none, from the helpful front-desk staff (who had a night lunch waiting for us and an early morning breakfast due to our check-in house), to the warm and engaging wait staff, wonderful cleaners and park staff- all very knowledgeable and thoughtful and friendly. We did the white water rafting, zip line which were very fun- excellent guides again. The volcano walk, coffee plantation tour and boat safari were fantastic with a wonderful expert guide (Michael)- crocodile, howler monkeys, sloths, gorgeous birds. We learned a lot. Wish we could have stayed longer, highest of recommendations and thanks to all! "

"We stayed at the Berlin on our way back to Canada. Spotless room. Really lovely, helpful staff. She booked us an airport taxi for very early the next morning. They were up when we were leaving at 5 am and gave us coffee and a take-out breakfast. We will stay there on our next visit."
