The location is beautiful and surrounded by nature: one of our highlights was watching a family of toucans right in the tree near our accommodation. "Excellent choise quite far from “downtown” but super close to the reserve and in the hotel you can spot flora and fauna as well as the reserve "

He pointed out wildlife that you could see around the property. family friendly. It is a little bit away from the town but we liked being more in nature. the stars were so bright and the sunset was beautiful. I'd stay there again!"

"Ancien complexe dans son jus. C’était pour une escale donc nous ne nous y sommes pas attardés. Si sensible au confort s’abstenir. Très très sommaire mais nous nous y attendions étant donné le prix. Petit déjeuner sur commande ( attention petit déjeuner local seulement ). Nous y étions hors saison donc à voir en saison. Hors saison la station “balnéaire “ semble vraiment en déclin."

"Good property and location. Room wasn’t quiet at all. Fan was loud and couldn’t use. No air conditioning. Wind outside was knocking things around. Shower temperature was difficult to adjust. Parking was limited and obstructed by some construction stuff."

"The place was a charming bed and breakfast with a stunning view. Although we didn’t have a room with a balcony, we still had access to it, and the flowers and scenery from there were absolutely beautiful. The lounge area, with its cozy wood-burning fireplace, made the whole place feel warm and inviting. My daughter took every opportunity to curl up there with a book and relax between our excursions."

"Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather."

"My daughter and I enjoyed 6 nights at El Sol and felt as if we had truly discovered the “heart” of Costa Rica. The staff were friendly and there to help with anything we might need. Nature was all around us, and occasionally in the cabin with us! The property is well kept. Infinity pool and sunsets gorgeous! There is no actual restaurant on site, but they offer a delicious breakfast and dinner menu that guests can have delivered to their cabin. This was the perfect start to our first visit to...
