"The overall property is wonderful. We are a family of 5 and we would definitely book with Avista again. We stayed for a week. The room was wonderful and clean. However, when we were scheduled for housekeeping mid stay, they made the beds, put clean towels on the table, left dirty laundry on the floor, and didn't refill any coffee items. They also never vacuumed and this resort is attached to a beach... The bed was also absolutely terrible. I would like to point out that there is no bathroom directly within the pool area. Your choices were a port a potty outside the gate, or going into the elevators. As you can imagine, this proposed quite an inconvenience with small children. Pools and beach access 10 out of 10."

"Unfortunately the AC didn’t work on entry to the condo. We went to the front desk to inform them that the thermostat doesn’t work and the AC isn’t blowing air. I asked for a box fan and they supplied me with one. They sent an employee to our room and after 2 trips he had the AC working however we had to dump a 5 gallon bucket of condensation water into the hall bath tub every few hours. We go down to spend the day at the beach and I have to leave the family to come up to the room to dump a 5 gallon bucket of condensation into the tub so that the AC doesn’t turn off. Never coming back."

"Stayed for one night, loved the warm cookies welcome gift. The lobby was clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly, I had an issue with my key and was able to meet with maintenance right away. My room for the most part was as pictured. I checked for any remanence of bugs and was glad to not have found any. The room was clean. However, the bathroom had prior guests hair in the shower and all over the floor. The toilet seat also could’ve used some attention. I didn’t complain to the front desk about it. The morning of checkout I was getting dressed and I heard a knock at 9:40. I then heard a knock across the hall which got my attention because I thought something was wrong. When I peaked out the door, the housekeeper was standing at the door about to enter. I asked “what did she need” and she said “to clean the room”. I told her “checkout is at 11” she asked “how much time will I need” so I answered “until 11”. I don’t understand if checkout is at 11 why is someone coming to the door an hour and 20 mins early? Not only that, what if I was asleep and didn’t answer would she have come in while I wasn’t conscious. I think if that’s their norm they need a different policy."
