"First, I am totally not dismissing this hotel. It was an interesting and different experience for us, and we're retired. We did not meet any staff until just before checkout, when we were asked if we needed any help. The vending area had no vending. The hot tubs were two outdoor hot tubs that were on an uneven deck, and were like hot tubs you'd have at home. Most all of the rooms face the state highway, so there is some noise. We were on the first floor and the noise above us was a lot, but...

"The lodge is a perfect getaway for people looking for some quiet time. The property is very well kept and you will be amazed with the interiors. The owners definitely put in a lot of work to create a serene retreat in the mountains. The owners are friendly, come and personally greet you. There's a sauna, fire pit, hot tub and japanese style baths on the property, coupled with a well equipped kitchen, there's no reason to leave the property except to enjoy several hikes in the vicinity.
