"Room needed refurbishment. Bathroom was tired looking & air con didnt work very well/noisy. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast had normal yoghurt only & no other choices. Bar was very expensive & no air con so was very warm/uncomfortable."

"This is a great really old pub with loads of interesting features but because it is old be prepared for really small rooms. The refurbished upstairs is really good but our room (18) was very small and difficult to get around the bed. On arrival our tv didn’t work and didn’t get fixed until the evening ..."

"Usual hotel full so slummed it here. Staff, food and drink absolutely no problem whatsoever. I was in room 32 which we can both agree like most independent hotel rooms in the UK need updating and tidying up. Hotels with restaurants make money but the money is put back into the bar and restaurant ..."
