Elevator was broke which means lugging suitcases, ball bags, wagons, chairs, canopies, cooler, etc up the stairs, there was not enough staff & the hotel was dirty. Called to ask if I could have more blankets brought up, receptionist told me she couldn’t leave the desk. When I got down there, she was running trying to accommodate everyone. I felt terrible for her. I talked to the manager the next day and was informed they didn’t have enough rooms filled to have anymore staff scheduled which was a lie, my team alone had half of us staying there. Then it turned too “well i can’t find people to work.” When asked about the elevator and why we weren’t told before he said it was on their page, when I told him I what site I booked through he told me it might not be on there. I was informed I didn’t know how hotel jobs works which is correct but as a nurse I do understand working short staffed. As a manager I’ve had to spend 22 hours in facility, just to leave and be on call & yes it sucks but once you take that title you take those responsibilities. I’ve stated in three hotels in three weeks and I will never stay in a comfort inn nor recommend one again (which is why I booked in the first place). Lesson learned. Only reason they are getting a two is because the receptionist never once complained
