"We had a great stay at the Bar Harbor Manor when visiting Acadia National Park. A few things we loved about the hotel: - Excellent location. Walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor restaurants and within a few minutes of the national park. It's in a very walkable area that feels lively. - Amazing service. The hotel staff were amazing. "Our stay at the Cleftstone was wonderful. This inn made us feel like we stepped back in time when we arrived. The architecture was so cute inside and out. The staff was very kind and accommodating- though we didn’t take full advantage of that or the amenities because we were mostly gone out exploring in Bar Harbor. "Well, it was in a good location with free parking. Our dogs were allowed to stay there with a fee per night, per dog. The front staff were friendly and helpful, and their snacks and H2O refill station were the BEST. The reason for the two-star rating was more a reflection of the folks who stayed there and not the hotel. Some folks two doors down were brushing their huge dogs and the tumbleweeds of hair were floating by. A guest parked his truck, backwards with his giant tarp over the many bikes...

"The location was great to walk to almost everything. Was able to take a trolley to the park for a tour which we would highly recommend. The room was very clean. Shower was great lots of pressure. The gifts that were left in the place was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend for anyone we know coming to Maine - bar harbor. "
