"The vibe was so calm and relaxing. The breakfasts had a huge variety of food, and were tasty. The beds were less firm than usual Portuguese standards, but quite firm by UK standards. The pool was a delightful respite from daily life and as it was quiet, we often had the whole space to ourselves. The staff were lovely. The local town was a bit quiet, and developing in tourism. "Enigma has a great location and, in my opinion, the concept of the hotel has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not quite live up to what we expected, especially considering the price we paid. The hotel is clearly in need of better maintenance. There was mould visible on some of the walls, the pool did not look particularly clean, and the spa felt quite outdated.
