"I wish I could give more than 3 stars to this property because I do think the staff are doing the best they can. The beds were clean, the breakfast buffet was well stocked, and anytime we needed help the staff were great. The hotel needs quite a few upgrades: -the pool “waterpark” doesn’t have a functioning hot tub or slide, it’s just a pool (although it’s very warm which we loved). -the furniture in the game area needs replaced as well as others around the hotel. The chair in our room was extremely dirty and needed replacing -the paint and baseboards in the room were in desperate need of attention -the room doors are old school insert cards instead of touch and very easy to hear everything in the hallways/neighbors Honestly this could be a really nice hotel if a few things were attended to. Overall it met our needs but I’m not sure we would stay here again."

"We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting the Great Sand Dunes NP, and it was perfect for our family of four. Our kids loved the heated pool and the hot tub was relaxing. We used the playground everyday. Our rooms were clean and all of the staff was helpful. The breakfast was included in the stay and had green chili every other day, which was a nice CO touch. The location made it easy to get to the Sand Dunes and all other activities in the valley. We will definitely stay here again if we come back!"

"Overall the hotel was great. But mattresses (both the main one and definitely the sofa bed) were in need of replacement. Staff was really amazing, breakfast was great, kid loved the pool, and hotel was clean. Replace the mattress and it’d be perfect."

"Overall great, very cozy with beautiful sunset views. It had everything we needed for a stay in fort garland, my only complaint was that the tiny fridge in the room I got never got cold enough to keep anything cold so bring an ice chest for your perishables."

"This is a great find... When you look at the outside it doesn't look like 5 stars...but if you are visiting the Great Sand Dunes this is the place to stay... Very nice staff ..A complete breakfast and a large well appointed room... Could not have been happier with our choice of the Dunes!!"

"Everything was great!!! Our room was clean, lived all the birds and feeders, there were 3 very clean and nice bar-b-ques with utensils for guest to use and the staff was awesome!!!"
