"Excellent staff, overall, well-kept amenities and great restaurants. The food and drinks were great. Room was excellent overall - loved the wooden doors and finishings, very high quality. I prefer carpeted rooms and therefore this met my expectations and seems to be in decent condition for the age. Having the thermostat control next to the bed was an excellent idea. Loved to see the embrace of technology for cleaning and upkeep as we saw the robots cleaning the corridor carpets. Overall, a great experience but there is room for improvement and therefore I will proceed to state:
The first room we were given had a serious musty smell. Upon reporting they switched our rooms but even the attendant who came agreed that this was unacceptable. Maybe there could be a review of this and air out the rooms that are not commonly used.
The doors to the balconies could do with some work as both rooms we had to jimmy the doors open. Some nitpicking items are: Under skirting on the beds can be refreshed and the carpets in the rooms can be refreshed.
This by no means is a deal braker as the overall experience was great. These are just slight renovation points that can push the accommodations to the next level.
Hilton in Florida had a nice touch where when you check in and enter your room, the TV would be on with a welcome screen that greets you by name and gives some basic instructions on the hotel. I think this would be a nice touch for here as well."
