Staff was very helpful. The one dinner I had there was quite good for being free. Be aware that unless you’re driving to and from the hostel every day it’s quite a hike up the hill from the road. In the winter it’s slick. The room was adequate but my biggest complaint is the shower curtain wasn’t long enough to keep water from flowing onto the bathroom floor which was a bit annoying Overall though a decent cheap place to stay.

Ehem. Sanatorium im Bauhaus-Stil

Sehr schönes Gebäude im Bauhaus-Stil (ehem. Sanatorium), schön und zentral gelegen. Die Doppelzimmer sind sehr, sehr klein, verfügen aber über einen Balkon mit toller Aussicht auf See und Berge. Das Personal ist superfreundlich und hilfsbereit, Frühstück und Abendessen sehr gut. Allerdings kann es etwas lauter im Haus werden wenn Jugendgruppen dort nächtigen....

L'auberge de jeunesse est tres bien localisée et est globalement propre. C'est un hébergement bon rapport qualité / prix. Cependant c'est dommage que certains membres du personnel ne portent pas correctement (voire pas du tout) de masque en cette période de Covid.

Sehr gute Lage mit einer fantastischen Aussicht. Auch mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel gut erreichbar und optimal gelegen für zum Wandern. Jederzeit wieder gerne.

Très bon Hotel, très bien situé au centre de Crans. Je recommande fortement cet hotel. Le petit déjeuner est très sympa. Il y a tout se qu'il faut et les intolérants au lactose ont du lait de soja ou amande et des yogourts aussi.

accueil mitigé, en vis à vis,au lieu d'un accueil oral, il vous est donné une tablette à remplir...bonjour l'accueil oral! nous n'avons pas retrouvé la simplicité et l'esprit auberge de Jeunesse (tps hors saison?) la spécificité grade d auberge de jeunesse insuffisament informée à la réservation (pas de cuisine autonome possible) parkage voiture coutant, chemin d'accès en travaux- taxe de séjour annoncée par internet de 2.50.-CHF / pers /jour et facturée à l'arrivée 3.-CHF/pers /jour sans explication

Great location but the charm is gone

We first stayed here as the Bella Lui Hotel but it is now run by a youth hostel organisation. It has lost the charm of the private hotel and is now, because it is a hostel, more functional. The period furniture and ornaments have been replaced by standard facilities. However, the staff are very helpful and location is the key - within walking distance of Crans centre with some amazing views. But the breakfast is the big disappointment. It was wonderful but is now barely adequate. A small selection of breads, cheeses, meats, cereals and yoghurt and that's it. They are exactly the same every day with no variation at all. They will not even do you an egg (I did ask). It might be OK for a couple of days but after a week I was desperate for something else. Overall it is still worth a visit, but please do not be influenced by reviews more that 12 months old - it is now a very different place.

A real gem

Stayed for a week which went all too quickly. Staff both friendly and very efficient. Muriel and Franz extremely helpful with follow-up information and assistance. Good breakfast and had one dinner which was excellent. Central for everything, but tucked away in a quiet spot.

Calme et vue, bon rapport qualité/prix

Le lieu, ancien sanatorium, a une histoire. Quand on monte sur la terrasse du 4 ème étage, on retrouve, si on en a, des souvenirs littéraires, Thomas Mann et quelques autres. Ayant pris une chambre single avec un grand balcon, j'ai eu pour un prix modique un confort, une vue (les sommets enneigés au réveil) et un calme parfaits. J'aurais aimé avoir un petit réfrigérateur ou minibar. Je n'ai pas pris de repas, ils étaient servis trop tôt pour moi le soir (19h) et en conséquence la clientèle pensionnaire semblait assez âgée.
