"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"The property itself was excellent. Very clean and spacious. Plenty of room for six of us and everything we needed was sipplied. It is the middle of the town centre and the beach was only a couple of minutes walk away. Railway station is five minutes walk, and the buses stop directly outside. At the time of our visit tha High Street outside was being modernised. It was quiet for us as it was a bank holiday weekend so no work was taking place. Overnight stop on way further North

"Walworth Hall is a great hotel set in a castle! Everything was perfect .... well almost! We had booked a suite, which was everything we wished for except it was on the top floor! There are no lifts and so our room was only accessible by climbing the stairs. As we are both over the age of 80, this was pretty tiring! Fortunately we were only staying one night. I would definitely recommend the hotel as an amazing place to stay but if we stay there again, we would request a room on a lower floor!"
