"This is a very basic hotel next door to a casino and leisure center near Jonzac town. 3 nights here was a long time for how little there is to do, but we were only in the area for proximity to a wedding venue in La Canonerie. This should not be advertised as 4*, the exterior is very run down, our apartment room overlooked the carpark, the balconies are run down, no basic amenities in the room like a hairdryer or iron, no cooked breakfast options just a very simple buffet in the hotel lobby, no restaurant or bar for lunch or dinner, no swimming pool, 1 thin pillow per person in bed, you have to put your own bin liners inside the bins and also dispose of them yourself opposite the carpark. These are not what I’d expect for 4 star accomodation. You can walk into Jonzac town within 15-20 minutes. As an area it is very hard to get taxis so these must be pre booked at least 24hrs in advance."
"This is a gorgeous boutique hotel right by a thriving cafe and restaurant area, so perfectly situated for those who want to explore Angouleme. The breakfast was fresh with lots of choices, and I absolutely loved having long, lazy breakfasts in the courtyard. Staff are friendly and helpful, the bedrooms are small but stylish, with lovely toiletries from Nuxe. The air conditioning is barely noticeable, so we were lucky we missed the really heatwave!I will definitely return. "
"A really pleasant stay.
You can see the brand wants guests to be happy. Lots of little touches.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Beautiful historical walk into the small heart of the city.
I actually think the location is perfect as it’s calmer."
"Fabulous location and just next door was a wonderful restaurant, le Francois, but they were so under-staffed, the waiters literally ran through the restaurant to serve the people on the little deck in front of it and sitting out under the lights in the center of a square.
The parking garage was tiny and intense. We felt certain that we must have gone into the wrong one. It was like someone's personal basement. We were deliberating on what to do and the nice young man at the front desk saw us and showed us where to park.
It was a little disconcerting for him to tell us that he goes off duty at 7, so we needed to remember the code to get back in, but it worked.
Our room was completely pink - walls and doors.
Our room was over the next door restaurant so we heard kitchen noise, but it wasn't bad. There was no A/C and the day had gotten a little warm, so we wanted to suck in as much cool air as we could before we closed the window."
Pierre & Vacances Résidence Les Rives de la Seugne
6/10 Okay
"The room was a great size, property was nice and quiet (April 2). Access to the waterpark is wonderful.
My only recommendation is for late arrival check-in process to be easier. I was a guest off-season so I understand staffing, svcs, etc. are reduced (official check-in is a two hour window, 5p-7p). "
"Receptionist was very nice and helpful. Facilities were as advertised. Also, they were very kind to hold a large amount of our luggage for 6 hours after checkout to accommodate our travel plans. "
