"Very friendly and accommodating staff. Our rooms were spacious, fresh and clean. Nice swimming pool area. Very good location with easy access to the old town."
"The breakfast food variety was very good. The staff working the breakfast service were superb. Pratap in the Teppanyaki was a fabulous cook and entertaining. Staff were generally good with one exception.
Prices for food drink was a bit too high
Gave feedback at reception that the quality of the take away breakfast was poor and this was not listened to and the same horrible sandwiches were provided the next day. The croissants were available very early and could have been put in the take away meal. If a guest gives feedback please act on it and act like a 5 star hotel and provide the high level of service. Some of the liquid soap shower gel bottles don’t work and need to be checked daily."
"Stunning location and nice property amenities. Feels a bit like an all inclusive resort but it’s not. Many dining options on property. Only stayed two nights. Made a good base to explore Dubrovnik without having to deal with staying in Old Town and dragging luggage up and down steps there. This place was a serene and welcome respite from the heat and crowds of Dubrovnik which, despite that is one of the most beautiful and stunning cities anywhere."
"Everything was just as advertised. Very pleasant experience! The spa and pool areas were perfect and the quality of the breakfast was superb. Highly recommend 10/10"
"I spent four nights at President Hotel Valamar Collection in Dubrovnik and overall it was an excellent experience that I would gladly recommend to anyone visiting this beautiful city. The magnificent reception area impressed me. The lobby is a huge, elegant hall with breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea. The reception is staffed with several service desks and the English-speaking team is always available, professional, friendly and eager to assist. Porters are also available to handle luggage and escort guests to their rooms. My room was spacious, comfortable and featured a large balcony overlooking the sea. Throughout the day, I enjoyed watching sailing boats, yachts and even large cruise ships passing by in the distance. The views are simply mesmerizing. The sunsets from this hotel are absolutely spectacular. Whether viewed from the room balcony or even better from the terrace of the Piano Bar on the sixth floor. I personally took dozens of photographs of the sunsets. Couple of islands face the hotel, creating a stunning backdrop as the sun disappears below the horizon. The buffet breakfast is extremely generous, Transportation is extremely convenient. The hotel has direct access to the beach. Some remarks: A very unpleasant food odor in the corridor leading from the elevators to La Mar Restaurant. Bottled water must be replenished daily to prepare tea and coffee. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing seaside stay in DBV."
"This a nice hotel in a great location. I’m glad I got to stay here. My room was modem, large, and clean. I appreciated the helpful staff and how housekeeping brings you chocolate in the evening! The breakfast area was well presented with a large selection of foods.
In the evening I wanted to eat in the restaurant because it was late. There was no one there eating or any staff around. So I asked reception and they checked and said they were still serving. So I went back and still no one to greet me. I went to the other reception area and the person there recommended a good restaurant that was open late and not far away. So that was helpful and I appreciated that.
I did feel like I wasn’t given much information when I checked in. Like the fact that I had to go to the other side of the hotel to access the gym and spa. ( there are two separate wings and reception areas) I also wasn’t told that there are limited hours for the gym and pool.
The gym and spa area were great. It was the nicest, biggest hotel gym I had ever used. I really appreciated that amenity. I had a great 25 minute massage in the spa.
I was unable to use the pool or jacuzzi because they close very early and I didn’t realize that.
I went up there and it was not very inviting. It’s more of a bar area. Not many sun loungers . The staff did not seem friendly or welcoming. So that was unfortunate and took away from my stay a little bit.
Overall it was a nice stay, but I did expect a little more from a 5 star hotel."
