"It was nice to stay in a brand new hotel. We didn't have any issues. The only area of opportunity and growth is getting a commercial sized air freshener/purifier. Because it is pet friendly you can smell it as soon as you walk in. Like a nice wet puppy. You can visibly see it was clean but the scent would discourage non-pet people. Super nice and in a great location."

"We had a good stay at the HGI in Gastonia. Generally clean, with some signs of wear in the room, but otherwise fine. The staff was above and beyond nice and helpful at the front desk (Crystal was a standout- VERY nice!). The bartender was also nice and helpful when kids in our group wanted to order food. The lounge areas outside and in the lobby were good for adult hangouts. The ONLY things we didn't love were that the pool area was SO loud that we ended up leaving when a group of about 7...

"Didn’t start early enough"

"Very nice room, bed was very comfortable. Starting around 2:30am I was awakened by what sounded like people slamming doors. I thought how rude and tried to go back to sleep. The next morning I left my room to go to breakfast only to find that it is the door/lock design that makes it abnormally loud to close. Breakfast was average. They only had one waffle machine so that caused a backup."

"Initially when I arrived early the woman at the desk was not friendly. I just wanted to sit in the lobby and send an email. However, when I came back later to check in and the balance of my stay the other two ladies, Ashley & the lady with light color braids (sorry didn't get her name) were very nice and helpful. Ashley remembered I was a previous guest there for a golf tournament."
