Fantastic beach as usual - our second year here. RNLI lifeguards operate from 10am to 6pm; some of the keen surfers will arrive after that time but do be careful after hours as the rip current can be horrendous and extremely dangerous. We went for a last dip on our last night about 6:30pm and wisely decided to give up after 5mins as our son was being inexorably dragged towards the rocks.
