"After difficulty finding and getting to the barge. (I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "Arrived around midnight and had already checked in online but staff there to explain everything. Very clean room and bed was so comfortable and so were pillows. Facilities in room v good. Didn't take breakfast. Good location as near town centre but felt slightly ofput as lots of graffiti in Bordeaux and nearby main road had some undesirables."
