"We spent one night there and it would one of the nicest places we have stayed. It was nice and clean and really comfy. The owner was fantastic. We will stay again"

"The accommodation was good but what annoyed me is we tried to turn the tv and heating on (its winter in Chch) and there was no power to either. We looked everywhere for instructions but there was none. Very disappointed, we rugged up on a very cold night and went to sleep. Next morning I told the staff how we had to endure a freezing night and no tv. She was very rude and just said “you have to put your credit card in the slot”. Then proceded to ignore me. I asked why we werent told, she said...

"Very nice stay. Lovely big comfy bed. Clean and spacious room with good facilities. Staff very friendly. Only comment was that when we asked how to get the rugby on the tv channel, they weren't able to help and said to go over to the pub, which we did and saw it there, but maybe something that could be checked."

"I last stayed in this hotel 39 years ago when it’s life was a Travelodge… Its great to see a vastly updated and improved hotel under Sudima. The checkin, bar area is modern and inviting with a lovely gas fire. The rooms have been updated but I am still not a fan of shower over bath setups. Also the TV is too small for modern days. That said the room is a good size and I like the seperate lounge suite table. I would stay again, maybe not in 39 years time next…! Very close to the airport which is...

"It’s very clean and very convenient for the airport but also very basic. We stayed twice, once on the way in and again on the way back. The room on the first visit was much better than the second visit. The staff are lovely."

"We did not order anything from the menu so cannot comment on that. However the condition of the rooms, size of the rooms for 3 adults was wonderful. Great kitchen with frypan, pots and a small oven/hotplate unit for cooking. Each unit has a small private outdoor table and chair set. There is a free laundry which was great as we had small children. There is a children's play area, beautiful grounds and the place was so handy to the airport and the northern part of Christchurch. "Room is tidy, house keeping regularly, handy to have laundry room. Good location within good proximity of where we needed to go during our stay. Over all good stay, good sized room for 2 people "

"Overall we had a good stay at the motel. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Most parts of the experience were smooth and enjoyable. The only major issue was the airport shuttle service. We paid $15 to book the 6am shuttle to the airport, but it never arrived. We waited until 6:30am with no communication or update from the motel. In the end, we had to book an Uber ourselves for a very similar price just to make our flight. What was most disappointing...

"Great Location, 5 min walk to One NZ staduim for the rugby. Close to the CBD. Plenty of Food and Drink places. Hotel staff were friendly and Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast for the 3 days we stayed was satisfactory. Hot and cold options. Would definately consider returning."

"My go-to place to stay in Christchurch. Easy to get around from when you've got a car, otherwise a half hour-ish flat walk to Riverside Markets. Really rate local eateries AFG and Portershed that are down the road."
