"We were at Hotel Blauer Karpfen for 3 nights and the stay was perfect for us. We enjoyed the clean room, wonderful breakfast, open bar, clean water, and proximity to the S train for our trips into Munich for the Octoberfest festivities. The cafes and markets close by were also great. Bianca and staff were super helpful and hospitable. We highly recommend this place coming from the US as it was a comfy base for us as we figured out the area for a first time visit."

"I rated this as a hostel, NOT compared to a hotel. As a US traveler coming to Germany, I was looking for a private room for a week to experience another country on the cheap. The room was clean, the host was great with communication, the locks and codes worked as indicated, it was a 3 min walk from the nearby busses and 10min to a grocery store. It was exactly what I was looking for. About 30 minutes outside the city, which made for quieter nights than if I were in Munich proper."

"Good location and spacious room. The "room" was actually 3 interconnecting rooms which gave us: 1) Bedroom and bathroom 1 2) The sitting room and kitchen 3) Bedroom and bathroom 2 This layout was good and meant we could open everything up or close the bedrooms for privacy at night. There was an issue with the air conditioning in one of the rooms, which unfortunately could not be fixed during our stay. The staff were very apologetic and gave us breakfast as compensation on 2 of our 3 nights, which I felt was an appropriate and appreciate gesture. Staff all spoke excellent English and although we arrived late on the first night we were greeted with a warm welcome and everything explained clearly. Some reviews have commented that parking was difficult, we did not find this to be the case at all, we stopped at the reception (leaving the car directly outside the hotel entrance) and were given room keys and instructions on how to enter the parking. You have to drive round the block to enter the parking area which is under the local shopping centre, the hotel parking is a private, barriered area of the underground car park. Once you have driven round and down, you have direct, secure (via your room key) access to the reception and rooms via a lift. Breakfast was good and we would stay here again."
