"I usually get a day room at City Lodge Hotel on my way out of Joburg. I choose them because they typically have a good online rate for an overnight stay. The hotel is massive - you could easily walk 15 mins to your room if it is at the far end of the footprint. The staff is always lovely and my room and bathroom were very clean and updated this trip. They have also upgraded their hair dryers in the wing where I was. Since I was only there for a few hours, I was grateful they put me in a room...

"We booked a night but only needed the room for a short layover — about 5 hours — to shower and take a quick nap. It was exactly what we needed! The room was large, spotless, and very comfortable. "Airport Tower Lodge was the perfect stay for our overnight before our next flights. The beds were extremely comfortable and we got a great nights sleep. The property is beautiful, we loved all the details and the spaciousness. They even had a well stocked honesty bar that was very convenient as we didn't have a car. The transfers both from and to the airport were seamless. "
