"We had a lovely stay but we were only there for a couple of days, and went rafting so did t really use the facilities. The pool is being renovated too so not really usable. "We absolutely loved our stay at the Akaya Bali. I usually only give 9/10 in reviews as I feel no one is perfect, however in this case I don't believe the Akaya could improve on anything. "The hotel has an excellent location in Sanur, which is probably its main advantage, especially for a short stay of a few nights. The staff were also consistently polite, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms are in clear need of maintenance. There were signs of damp and water damage, and the overall standard of cleanliness was disappointing. "Limited sun lounges at both front and back pool , beach pool is above ground and is stupid with no where to sit , if you can get a seat you can’t put your drinks or meal on your room account , bintangs are 68,000 plus tax the dearest in Bali so not good"

"I stayed one night prior to flying home. Hotel is walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the beach. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, but fairly basic by western standards. Overall a good value for the price. If I was wanting to stay and see Sanur Beach there are other hotels closer to the beach, a little nicer, but at a higher cost. "
