"Read hotel is a 10 . But I can only give a 9 at this time . Due to the fact check out is at 11 am . But at 8 am why me and my wife was asleep in bed we was startled and alerted by a young man dressed in black with a clip board. He scared us and shocked us it was embarrassing and shouldn't have even happened being check out is not till 11 am . We called service desk to make sure everything was OK and alerted them of situation . And was told that they was just part of the house cleaning staff and everything was OK. Out of all the resorts, hotels, and motels I have stayed at this has never happened in my life time . So because of this experience can only get a 9 out of a 10. Everything else is a 10 . The chop house , ghost tour was excellent . Hotel was clean and well restored."

"A very good hotel! We were upgraded from a regular room to a suite with two bathrooms, one of which had a proper deep bathtub. There were also games available in the common area. Two specific things worth knowing: 1. In our suite, the bedrooms had no windows. This was actually a plus in terms of noise isolation, but it might be uncomfortable for someone with claustrophobia. 2. If you're particularly sensitive to noise, complete silence may be difficult to achieve. We turned off the HVAC, but could still hear some background noise, apparently coming from a neighboring building. Everything else was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay!"

"The staff was so friendly!!! From front desk to housekeeping to the folks in the breakfast area. Our original room had an issue with the air not working and they quickly moved us to another room. The front desk person even brought the keys to the new room to us --we didn't have to go downstairs. I was traveling with my sister and her dog. She said the dog park that is part of the property was really nice. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast --really good coffee (that is important!) We loved that they had their "team meeting" to get the day started. I got the feeling that everyone liked working there! All around a very positive experience."
