"My husband and our children visited Bay Breeze Motel on the August long weekend as a place to stay while visiting New River Beach for the first time.
We arrived with the expectation of a simple room and that is what we got!
The property has only three rooms total and a restaurant in a separate building- all located on the cliff's edge of the ocean; we stayed in two of the rooms.
There were two double beds in each room, one bar fridge, a table with two chairs and a love seat. Furnishings were dated but functional and clean. Pillows were thin.
Bathroom was functional and clean, however the shower sprayed sporadically and could have used some maintenance. The door to the bathroom did not close properly. There were many small bars of packaged soap available but no other amenities such as shampoo, hair dryer, shower cap, etc. Something to keep in mind if arriving for a visit as there are no stores in the immediate vicinity.
A porch with a table was right outside the back door with a beautiful view of the ocen, only meters away (no real beach access as it is a cliff, but lovely to listen to and look at). The view and location were the best parts of this room/stay.
The motel restaurant is the only restaurant in the immediate vicinity except for one in the provincial park and a takeout, also in the park. There are a couple of small grocery stores accessible by a short drive.
The restaurant was decent, but pricey. Worth a drive to the grocery store for sandwiches for lunch at the"
