"This is a brilliant hotel in a fantastic location. The room was spacious, modern and well equipped with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The facilities were excellent - especially for children and the quality of the food was outstanding. It’s also an easy 10 minute walk into the port making it a great location."

"We stayed for a week and had a brilliant time. The pool was great and plenty of sunbeds to use and the fact that they could not be reserved was also a bonus. The room was lovely and the beds were made every day and we came back one afternoon to a bottle of fizz in an ice bucket compliments of the hotel for my birthday - this was a lovely touch. We will definitely be back!"

"I like the Axel for the vibe. While the rooms could use a little refresh, the place is clean, the gym is well appointed and the pool area is great to hang out around. The staff are friendly in every department I encountered- housekeeping, pool, reception. As always I like its commitment to its queer clientele."

"Feels a bit harsh not to give it as what I going to moan about really can't be helped It's situated on a main road so being on the balcony can be noise and down by the pool you are getting fumes from the road. It's centre based tho so to be expected. Room was great and clean - didn't find it dated like some suggest. Plenty of sun loungers and staff especially housekeeping where very friendly. Suppose the question is would I go back there and the answer is yes. Supposedly a star rating lower to a local hotel within the same brand. You wouldn't know it. 👏 Breakfast was the buffet was all know and love these days."
