"We liked ked it here. Our room was very spacious. Breakfast was not good though. However, we had to drive through very dense fog to get there. We couldn't see the road except for a couple of feet ahead of us, and we had to drive in a mountain with no guard rail. I'm f we had known about the fog, we probably would have chosen to stay someplace else. Hotel itself was great though. "

"This place offers a nice breakfast buffet, yummy homemade ice cream (try the dandelion!) and a small gift shop. There are cows on site so you know your dairy products are fresh. The rooms are clean, modern (with hooks/outlets/bedside lamps for each bed) on a quiet property. This is a wonderful one night spot for your road trip around the island."

"Free parking, though the car park filled up in evening and had to park in unmarked area (checked ok with reception). The hotel has several buildings so don't unload vehicle until checked in. Their website does warn you about no elevators in the main building. The room was fine for a night. Bed comfortable and black out curtains that covered the window!! Bathroom is a little tight with old style shower curtain and bath combination but no problem for us. Breakfast was a reasonable range of...

"Lodgings in this area are generally expensive so the review is ignoring that aspect. The hotel is old but for most part it doesn’t seem dated. Room interiors were bright and very clean but bathroom can use minor refresh to fittings. Staff was very friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was served in a lovely cafeteria , had lots of selections and quite wonderful. "

"This was our best hotel in all Iceland and we stayed at 10 hôtels! The view is amazing. We had a late check in and the staff were so kind. Amazing breakfast (the waffles were the best we ever had!!!) would 100% recommend this hotel!"
