"The house was beautiful. We did have to drive for any dining options or grocery stores but it was worth it. The size of the house was nice, the views were amazing, the amenities and the bathroom were perfect. The only downside was that use of the hot tub was an extra $200 usd which seems like a lot for something that should be included with the house."

"Good location, but no-frills room. I liked the common area for eating and was appreciative of the cooking hot plate. Sound traveled throughout — so if your neighbors are noisy, you will hear them. Overall, a good value for a solo traveler."

"This is a great place to stay. Wonderful location -- easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Small grocery store about 100m away! House was immaculately clean. Pictures online are very accurate -- my experience has often been that the pictures are much nicer than the property; this is not the case here at all. Host checked in regularly by email and responded quickly to questions. Absolutely recommend this property."

"All around good value. Particularly well equipped kitchen. Clean; comfortable furniture, spectacular view of Tórshavn. The owner is a very approachable man and was very welcoming. Road noise was noticeable, but bearable."

"This property was very quaint and in a good location. The company Vert, that manages the property was terrible with communication and replying. Also, it does NOT HAVE a washer and dryer in the apartment as listed, it has a non woeking washer and dryer in the dungy dirty and unsafe basement. I would not stay here again. "

Hotel Hafnia

10/10 Excellent

"The property is excellent in many ways. However, the staff are exceptional. Our flight out of the Faroe Islands was cancelled and the person at the Lobby went out of their way to arrange for the airline to pay for an extra night at the Hafnia (which was much better for us), arrange for three free meals at the hotel, and then even called our taxis to reschedule pick up for the next day. And even though check in is normally after 3 PM, the person was able to get us into our rooms right away for the extra night so that we could relax. We never asked for any of this, they just took the initiative and made it happen. It definitely took the sting out of having our flights cancelled. My only recommendation is that they have at least a small menu available for hotel guest late into the evening (especially on Fridays and Saturdays). Also, there are a lot more places open late on Saturdays in the areas than the hotel is aware of, so perhaps they could keep a more up to date record of these where you can eat "after hours.""

A Pearl In A Forgotten Fjord - Luxury Boathouse

"Loved my stay here! Although I traveled solo, there is sufficient room for a large family/group. The view of the fjord is extraordinary, and I found myself sitting and watching the beautiful wildlife for hours. The adjustable LED lighting in the kitchen/living room area is a very nice touch, and there are separate indirect heating thermostats to control different parts of the home. The houseboat is situated in a perfect location for driving out of Esturoy and visiting places like Gjógv, Slættaratindur, or many other places of interset for visitors. While nice and secluded, the nearest grocery or Rusan's is only ~16-20 minutes away."
