"Perfectly adequate for a 1 night stop. Location was good, right in the centre. We arrived about 4.30pm and there were only 2 parking spaces left. Room was good, clean and spacious. Not a fan of shower curtains over a bath, would prefer a screen.
Our main gripe was this is a Marston's Inn, a company renowned for it's real ale. We were going to eat in the restaurant around 7.30 on a Friday night but were told that there was no ale on at the pumps, only lager. Not even a decent bottled beer either! Did that mean they would have no ale on all weekend? Not good enough Marstons! We did have a cooked breakfast the following morning which was good but had to wait a good 20 minutes for this and there weren't that many people having breakfast. Overall a perfectly good place to stay in Exeter."
