"We absolutely loved Zelda Dearest. This place has quickly become our go-to when we’re in Asheville — the 1920s vibe, the atmosphere, the staff — all of it just works. Breakfast was fantastic and the perfect way to start the morning before heading out to explore downtown. The location is great too, easy walking distance to everything. If you haven’t stayed here yet, you’re missing out. We’ll definitely be back."

"Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and helpful! Top notch service all the way around! Loved sitting on the patio at the watch and people watching in the evening! Then the rooftop for sunset and cocktails, then the lower level for live music and arcade games! It was a special treat to have a breakfast bag delivered to the door in the morning as well as afternoon, charcuterie, cheese, and wine that was complementary. The location was wonderful and using the valet made everything so easy!"

"From arrival to departure, everything was wonderful here. From complimentary glass of wine at check in, to the friendly valet upon leaving we were treated like valued friends. Loved the rooftop bar. And the speakeasy in the basement was a gem. We will be back!"

"This is a dirt cheap hotel room. Hooks on the walls to hang your clothes for $200 a night!! No desk to do any work! They advertise a rooftop restaurant which is why I booked there but they are open only at night! It is not worth a single penny over $80."

"Big room. Clean. Very unique. Quiet. *However, one end of the hotel is where trash pickup is and one morning, it was like 5 am and very loud-beeping and picking up the big dumpsters & slamming. That was my only complaint. It didn’t make sense that it was that early. "

"Very clean room. Suite was spacious for our family of 6. Had everything we needed for the night. Pool was fun. Breakfast was ok. Check in went smoothly. Ample parking and great location. Plenty to do in the area and many dinner options. "

"This hotel is right in downtown Asheville, near wonderful restaurants & terrific art collections, also the shops on Lexington Avenue. You can walk to everything (but need to drive to Biltmore Estate.) Haywood Park hotel was an historic Bon Marche department store so the rooms are spacious as are the hallways. Extremely helpful staff. Do be aware that if you have a car you will be required to use their Valet Parking which I mistakenly thought was $22 per day but which in fact was $22 every time...

"I feel this property is rather new and everything was clean and nice. My only negative experience was overnight trying to sleep. Our bedroom windows faced the interstate and the hotel is right on an offramp. I think if maybe they put up sound proofing curtains, and provided some ambient noise that could help?"

"Concierge lady had no idea what parking options were. Suggested we do street parking then said never mind it’s only 2 hrs. We arrived and she never confirmed the location just responded “I hope so” to us saying “I hope we’re in the right spot.” She did nothing to help either of us. Esp my mother with her bags, which wouldn’t be an issue, but she said it was her job prior. No front desk staff available upon check-in for a while. Housekeeping always left items behind. Other than that great food!"
