"The property itself was beautiful, and the ocean view was just incredible. The check-in was horrible! Our room wasn’t ready yet. We went and had some dinner and when we returned it was still not ready. We were told to have a seat and it should be ready soon. We waited an hour and still not ready! They tried to offer us what I considered not acceptable. I paid for a room with a view, they offered us a first floor with no view. No other compensation was offered. We ultimately stayed in that first floor room for one night and at noon the next day the room I paid for was finally ready! Needless to say we were not off to a great start to our vacation. It did get better though."

"You are steps away from Atlantis with full access, but without the price tag. You do give up a view of the water at night, but after a full day in the sun and swimming, we were ready to shower, sleep and be good to go for another beautiful day. This hotel also has a very nice complimentary breakfast each morning. The cost of food and drink at Atlantis are a major consideration so this is really nice. We've been twice now and plan to visit again."

"Courtyard by Marriott Nassau Downtown/Junkanoo Beach is an excellent place to stay if you are looking to be right in the middle of the action. Everything is in walking distance: shops, restaurants, popular beach and a taste of the island from local vendors. Watch the cruise ships come in and leave from the nearby cruise port. The city is transformed by tourists during the day bringing a vibrant energy to the area. A quiet, mellow, calming pace replaces the energy of the day as the cruise ships depart between 5pm - 6pm. This is a great time to walk or just sit alone on the beach and take in the natural beauty and serenity of staying right along the sea. Dining at Courtyard is affordable, offers meals late into the night and also has great local entertainment."

"We traveled to Atlantis the end of May. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, which is ideal for our family of 5. The waterpark keeps our kids entertained all day, and my younger 2 kids love the various activities (bingo, pool games, etc...). There are plenty of food and beverage options (including Starbucks, Nobu, Fish, Carmine's), just be prepared for the higher prices. If Atlantis is in your budget, your kids will love it! I think for the price some improvements can be made (including bringing back the meal plans), but we would definitely consider staying again in the future. Favorite places to eat: 1. NOBU (although the server tends to make or break the experience) 2. Fish (their tasting menus are delicious!) 3. Murray's Deli (great for lunch) 4. Amber (great steak options and in the casino, so if you like to gamble, you are steps away) Least Favorite place to eat: 1. Carmine's (since their move from the previous location, food quality has greatly declined...food was bland, and even though the cheapest option, I would skip it) Side note: pack lots of sunscreen, you can always bring it back home. If you run out 1 bottle is like $30+"

"This was our second year at the British Colonial and we will return again next year. Wonderfully remodeled a few years ago and impeccably maintained. The pool and beach area are superb. Many lounge chairs and patio umbrellas dot the pool and beach areas. The hotel rooms have all the modern conveniences and a feeling of old world charm and style. All the staff are friendly, helpful and seem to truly enjoy their jobs. There are a couple staff members that I would like to point out. Charles and Petra cover the beach and pool area. They make every guest feel special. The front desk attendants are all excellent, but our favorite is Selvinique. Her outgoing personality is infectious and she makes sure all guests feel welcome and appreciated. Art & Pam McCray"
