"Very comfortable room. Staff were helpful. We would have liked more help from the restaurant when it came to my wife's need for gluten free food. We tried to have dinner there one night and were offered only one choice which would have been a very basic meal. For breakfast my wife was informed by the staff that "all bread is gluten free", it's not! I would have thought that being part of the Shangri-La group, your staff and kitchen could do better here. Otherwise we had a good stay"

"First, its location is very close to Penang International Airport and that's the only reason I switched to this hotel because of taking an early morning flight. It's just 15 minutes for Grab. The check-in process was very smooth and highly efficient but not up to the previous standards of Mariott hotels I stayed. "Rooms are a bit dated (compared to the pictures shown) but generally okay for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping is done everyday so you get fresh towels and sheets daily. Location-wise is central and convenient, and across from 1st Avenue Mall which is great if you need anything."
