"The Hotel Ballena Ray is a gem. While the overall vibe is laid back, the rooms are perfect for a long stay with kitchenette and other basic amenities. The breakfast is especially wonderful as is the staff. And the pool, though small, is wonderful and has a bar open in the late afternoon and evening. You can swim until 9PM, which is a nice bonus after a long day exploring the surrounding areas of Uvita, Ballena Marine National Park (5 minute walk from the property) and the surrounding areas....

"Das Hotel ist etwas abseits gelegen, dadurch aber mitten in einer grünen Oase. Wir haben dort Tukane und andere tolle Vogelarten gesehen. Der Ausblick vom Zimmer oder vom riesigen Pool aufs Meer ist absolut beeindruckend. Im Vergleich zu den anderen Hotels auf unserer Reise war das zweite Bett im Zimmer recht klein. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit selbstgemachter Marmelade. Der Kaffee hat besonders gut geschmeckt. Und auch hier hatte man einen tollen Blick. Das Hotel können wir absolut empfehlen."

"The view was amazing and staff were very friendly. I did not realize that the rooms did not have A/C, so things were hot the first night (reception closed at 8:00), but they were able to get me another fan the second night l, which made things better. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay which included access to a local swimming hole which was very refreshing. The restaurant was the most expensive meal we had in Costa Rica and to be honest, the food was not bad, but not good. Definitely...

"Ziemlich abgelegen, aber dafür umso schöner liegt die Anlage. Perfekt, um auszuspannen und Ruhe zu finden. Es gibt einen kleinen 3 Kilometer Trail der doch ziemlich steil hoch und runtergeht. 60 Minuten braucht man. Vorbeikommt man an einem kleinen und spektakulären Wasserfall. Die Anlage ist schön gepflanzt und direkt neben meiner Lodge habe ich Colibris gesehen. Außerhalb der Lodge kann man vermutlich wenig unternehmen. Ich war im August und nachts wurde es dann doch ziemlich frisch und kalt....
