"I was initially in another, similarly priced, hotel in Suva that was so unpleasant I decided to move. Capricorn was such a relief - the room is spacious, bright, well layed out and the view is spectacular. It was great to have an outdoor porch and to have the opportunity to prepare simple meals. "The staff was always friendly and engaging but the service wise at the bars and restaurants was slow. It takes ages before they will reach out and offer a drink or food menu. The hotel doesnt provide any tours and doesn’t collaborate with the travel agencies to offer such services. They dont have any entertainment either, it feels like you stay in the retirement community. 🙃 It is centrally located within the walking distance to the major institutions and downtown area."

"There was a bit of confusion on check in as they have two lobby’s and one accomodation section on the marina and another facing to pool area. We went to one but we were staying in the other.
I was unwell and just wanted to go to the room but we were kept waiting some time and then eventually walked down to the other lobby and as we went I was told we had a room upgrade and we were in a premium room now and got given the key to that room…and then we got to the other lobby and they took that key...

"This place is a true gem, from the staff to the food to the rooms. It is outstanding. I would caveat that it’s not for everyone, there are limited options of food, there’s no room service, and some of the staff returns home every night.
If you’re expecting a 24 seven full attention luxury resort this is not the place if he wants somewhere that is of exceptional quality with a lot of space for yourself and a bit more relaxed this is great.
