"The pool was full of standing water with plastic over it and overgrown around it. It was a funky place but clean and everything worked. The bed was lovely. The decor was thoughtful. I liked the couple and their child. It was a nice image."

"there is no staff there so you are on your own - but that is ok - it is a very small place - old but totally updated inside no extra emenities at all on the outside (ice etc) the stairs to the top floor are not the best but if you are fit, they work!! Booking was great with Expedia but the hotel itself says you need to fill out a form and give 2 pieces if ID? which is not true!! for the money it was worth it"

"This motel was very low end not worth the money we paid. Buyer beware. The motel is old and run down. It had a homeless camp feel to it. It came with good reviews that is why we chose it but now that I stayed there a weekend it was a huge mistake. Did not feel safe staying there."

"The management hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The kitchenette equipment was missing some basic items , due to guests taking things , ( !? ) , but the management quickly provided some items needed. The suites are large and comfortably furnished, and the beds are too. The Lodge is very quiet and peaceful, and located very conveniently, walking distance to downtown and the Cowichan River ,and very near to the Highway 18 , to access driving Youbou or to Duncan and other...
