"My room was clean and comfortable. Air con not working which shouldnt be an issue this time of year as having an open window would be fine. However, this is an issue due to the 10000 decibel music with a baseline that goes through you - from outside - for hours. Usually id be a "cant beat em, join them" type but i was a lone female who found the groups of young men congregating and smoking, intimidating. Fellow guests were also inconsiderate - constant door banging. Thankfully i was only here...

"The car park is not part of the hotel and so you are charged £26 for any time over 15mins of time in any 24 hour period. There is no, go out and come in to reset the timer. As such the receptionist has an on going battle with every client parking there. I note that there is no support from the management to combat this situation. Any complaints you make should go directly to the manager NOT the team behind the counter. "

"Clean room but tired bathroom. I was originally pleased to have a bath but there was no plug. Comfortable bed but this is the second time I have stayed and had to make the bed. The bottom sheet had not been fitted to the bed just put on top of the mattress then covered with the duvet. Sloppy housekeeping."

"On arrival greeted by reception as if they’d been having a bad day and letting it show. Hotel is pleasant enough but I don’t expect luxury what I do expect a comfortable bed. My expectations were not met here. Easily the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Mattress must have been 20 years old. I resorted to pulling out the sofa bed at 2am it was that bad. Better but not a great alternative. Maybe I got unlucky. "

"The property really needs some maintenance to it. Very dated all round. Champneys used to hold a high standard name as a spa hotel but over the years it’s really lost its touch. Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the spa facilities. Was in the spa for 2ish hours and not a single member of staff cleaning anything. Mainly the floors which were full of grit/hair/dirt. Edging of pool areas have algae. Really just needs a deep clean. We didn’t stay for dinner however we had breakfast...

"Our second stay at this property. Chose it for its location as we were taking our granddaughters into London by train. Train station a ross the road with frequent direct trains to London. Free parking at the hotel a bonus. A nice pub nearby and a nice walk along the canal. Rooms clean and sufficient. Staff friendly. "
