"This is less a commentary on the hotel and more on the lack of effectiveness of the communication between myself, Expedia, and the property. I had a reservation for two nights this past weekend, and my flight was delayed and ultimately cancelled. I used the Expedia app to contact the property to make them aware and to request they hold the reservation for Saturday, when I did ultimately arrive, since I knew I'd be recorded as a no-show otherwise. "Arrived to be notified of 2 surprises I don't recall seeing in property description. Yes, they are dog friendly, however the fee is $75/ night and the pet area is across the street and half block away, not convenient for middle of the night potty run. Also, the ONLY parking is Valet which I was told was $20, final bill was $28, rounding out a 1 night stay to >$500. Sure there's "on street parking" if you can find it with several other hotels nearby. Would stay elsewhere next time."

"Our room was very spacious and clean! The staff is very pleasant and helpful! However, we were told by staff during our stay that this hotel would be closing as of June 1, 2026. I was very sad to hear that because this hotel is close to several areas that we frequent when we visit Winston-Salem as well as friends nearby. "The beds were like box springs and the floor joints are about to blow all I heard was a 120yr old barn house floor with regular walking in the room above.. oh and the noisy wall unit"

"The breakfast bar was not as good as I expected. The room was alright; however, the hotel needs upgrades in the room and especially the bathroom. It had a jetted tub and the bathtub walls needs upgraded. The phone was broken. I could call down for services needed.. Once upgrades are done, I think the hotel will be much better."

"My brother had a bad accident and needed to stay here the night before he was picked up since he was unable to drive himself back to Atlanta for surgery. The front desk gal was amazing and very accommodating. He had a restful night sleep when he really needed it and she delivered him water as he was unable to move around freely. Thank you!"
