"Poor customer service. Beds are terrible"

"This property feels dated. The rooms at the back of the property feel like you are in the basement. The family rooms may be more pleasant but as a solo traveller it felt like staying in an outdated basement room. Walking past the bin store and maintenance area didn’t give any feeling of comfort. This is definitely a family hotel. Not ideal for solo travellers. The hotel is 15 mins walk out of town. For a solo travellers it may be better to try one in the centre. On a plus side the staff are...

"Bed could of been better and air con smelt a bit musty (but that's FNQ for you i guess) Property was really neat and tidy and made our stay really comfortable. Kids loved the pool. Would recommend for anyone looking to visit Port Douglas."

"Really enjoyed our stay here. Highlights were the amazing pool, the food in the restaurant (particularly the Indonesian night), the big rooms (although dated), beautiful trees and the rainforest walk through. I recommend 'Port Douglas premium transfers' to and from the airport - awesome driver. SR coaches cancelled on us. Port Douglas is incredible, the beach is so beautiful. Also a great cafe called St. Crispins a short walk from the resort with awesome food and coffee. We would come back and...

"Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. They were always anticipating guests’ needs. Spa was also fantastic and great service."

"Location was excellent, rooms are smaller than they look, with no where to sit other than the bed and all look into each other. Receptionist was super helpful and accommodating. Bed was very hard. Pool was lovely, if you are wanting to sunbath you need to go to the beach as only few sunbeds and the building shades a lot."

"Stayed in a studio facing the street behind, fairly noisy. Spa has had its day, water cold before finished filling. Beds comfortable enough. There are dvds to borrow downstairs however the batteries in our dvd player had rusted/iodised into the remote and we couldn’t use it. One thing to mention if you’re wanting a quiet day by the pool, the constant waterfall into the pool is actually very noisy! First world problem but annoying if you like quiet."

"Lovely swim out room was very clean. Could use some updating though."

"Un personnel à l’accueil très sympathique et à l’écoute. Tout le matériel disponible est gratuit (chaise de plage, transat, parasol, remorque pour tout transporter, glacière, fontaine à eau, vélo… Nous conseillons cet endroit que nous avons particulièrement apprécié. À 30m de la place et à 2mn à pied du centre ville."

"Great place"

"A lovely stay, comfortable apartment enjoyed by all guests"

"It was in a good spot for easy access to the shops and also to the beach, though it took a bit of walking. It was very comfortable and had a washing machine and dryer just outside our door, which was handy. Small things were that one of the chair seats was a bit loose and the blind at the window became stuck. Otherwise it was a great place to stay."

"Chambre pas tres propre"

"I love the layout of the property but please be aware due to proximity to the rainforest there are A LOT of bugs. My wife and I fought for our lives against a giant cockroach and the villa definitely had a lot of ants and spiders. The plunge hours being limited to the spa hours was a downside for us as well. My wife recommends the facial! The private pool was awesome. Truly if we didnt have the bug issues I would have given it 5 stars."

"The two pools were wonderful. The location was a 10 minute walk to marina, restaurants and beaches. The one-bedroom we rented was simple but clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Easy parking too."
