"A better name would be the Sugarloaf Bunker. We arrived to an overheated building and room at about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Staff did respond to my phone call, but the building was still uncomfortably hot next morning. Very cramped room and small bathroom. It took most of the night to cool the room. Leaf blower started outside our room at 6:45 a.m. Balcony chairs were all broken. Poor sleep. Better luck next time."

"Affordable, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff."

"One of the best lodging experiences I've ever had. The staff were so friendly and helpful with questions about my stay and plans while in town. The shopette had very reasonable prices and a huge selection of items for purchase. The hostel was very clean and well maintained. You could tell they put lots of thought into guest needs and comfort. I felt like I was stay at a family lodge. The outdoor area was beautiful. Showers were hot with great pressure. Couldn't recommend higher."

"A short walk to the water! The children loved playing in the water! Everything you need is in the house. Definitely made for a family! Short drive to downtown! The home is well made and insulated. The furniture is heavy and durable! We had a wonderful time!"

"Great hotel with helpful staff"

"The best place"

"When we booked our stay, the listing said that there was a “wood burning fireplace” in the cabin (which was one of the reasons why we selected it). Unfortunately, that was inaccurate. Instead, there was a wood stove that contained ceramic logs. And even that wasn’t operational during our stay! Very disappointing. I think the owner (who was very responsive) corrected the listing after we brought it to his attention. Otherwise the cabin was clean and well stocked. The location was also excellent....

"Nice neat clean. Easy access from front or back deck. Central location."

"Peaceful place in nature, relaxing weekend!"
