"As sprawling Ashland Hills is well-designed to host large events, it isn't the place one would go for intimacy or charm, or walking access to downtown. But it's a perfect place to go if you like spacious, clean rooms and comfortable beds (with soft pillows!), and easy access to parking, pool, tennis courts, a large, fenced dog area for my Golden Retriever - and beautiful views if you ask in advance. Too tired to venture out, I was somewhat surprised to be able to order a dinner with perfectly...

"I found the video check in to be impersonal and off-putting, plus it didn’t work so an actual person had to come check us in. But the room was clean, the amenities were fine the bed was very comfortable. So a mixed review."

"I reserved a particular room for 3 nights in advance 3 months ago for my birthday . I liked this hotel because of the slide ( too fun) and how warm the water in the pool is. Also I appreciated the staff and the in room hottub. Well when we checked in I was first told I couldn't have that room. The front desk clerk did some manuvering and got us an identical room.. that was appreciated. However, there was a sign on the front desk stating that the pool and slide would be closed until the fging...

"1st room they checked me into wasn't cleaned...at all. Second room was clean, but the duvet cover was ripped, and the blackout curtains had holes in the the size of quarters . Clarion used to have some prestige, some class. At least this one I stayed had had let itself go. Will Not be my choice next time."
